overview
The underlying market-mechanism of Noren will involve NFT’s that exhibit a direct, 1-to-1 identification relationship to a physical address, which conveniently, is unique already in the aspects of longitude, latitude geo-location.
The NFT, true to the digital artform in which kicked off a new paradigm in blockchain adoption will also accompanied to an art piece directly associated to the physical address that has been registered as a unique contract based on the EIP-721 Ethereum token standard.
The NFT’s, once generated on the Ethereum blockchain, will be available for secondary market trading which will fuel the reward system.

SO, WHAT IS NOREN?
Noren are traditional Japanese fabric dividers hung between rooms, on walls, in doorways, or in windows. They usually have one or more vertical slits cut from the bottom to nearly the top of the fabric, allowing for easier passage or viewing.
Noren were originally used to protect a house from wind, dust, and rain, as well as to keep a house warm on cold days and to provide shade on hot summer days. They can also be used for decorative purposes or for dividing a room into two separate spaces.
Division, a clear delineation of space is the simplest way to put it. Locations have significant meaning to people. We associate memories, people, emotions, atmosphere, and senses to the places, no matter how granularly defined the concept of space and location may be. This act of compartmentalization happens naturally, and we seldom reminisce of such associations; and our project adds a simple yet powerful layer to collect and display our own Noren in the form of unique NFT’s modeled after real architectural designs.
APPROACH
The idea of location and compartmentalization, along with the shape of ordinary noren, set the direction of logo development.
The goal was to depict merge of spaces with geometric shapes.
Each rounds of ideation progressed with feedbacks from crowds online to understand how people react on the impression of each symbols.
